Postmillennial

We believe that our Lord has defeated Satan and is building His church, a church that will be victorious in the world.

Jesus taught us in His prayer to ask for and expect this:

“Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name.
Your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven. (Mt. 6:9-10)

This eternal kingdom was established when Christ came, as foretold by the prophet Daniel:

34 As you looked, a stone was cut out by no human hand, and it struck the image on its feet of iron and clay, and broke them in pieces. 35 Then the iron, the clay, the bronze, the silver, and the gold, all together were broken in pieces, and became like the chaff of the summer threshing floors; and the wind carried them away, so that not a trace of them could be found. But the stone that struck the image became a great mountain and filled the whole earth. (Dan 2:34-35)

And in the days of those kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that shall never be destroyed, nor shall the kingdom be left to another people. It shall break in pieces all these kingdoms and bring them to an end, and it shall stand forever, (Dan. 2:44)

And Christ will not return until this work is finished:

Then comes the end, when he delivers the kingdom to God the Father after destroying every rule and every authority and power.  For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet. The last enemy to be destroyed is death. (1 Co: 15:24-26)

We believe that in that last 2000 years, significant progress has been made. A significant portion of the world experiences freedom and liberty, and the rest of the world hungers for it. Much work is left to be done, but the church, led by the King of Kings, and empowered by the Holy Spirit, will not fail in the task set before it. For all things are possible through Christ our Lord.
